Privacy

This is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms and no tracking of individual readers.

What the site collects

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no login, no comment system, no newsletter signup and no forms on any page. The site has no analytics script and does not set cookies of its own.

As with any website, the server that delivers these pages records ordinary request information in its logs, which typically includes an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. That data exists to operate and secure the site and is not used to build a profile of a reader.

Third-party requests

Your browser fetches two things from other hosts while rendering these pages, and both are visible in any browser's network inspector.

  • The Bootstrap stylesheet and icon font, served from the jsDelivr content delivery network.
  • The Poppins, Inter and IBM Plex Mono webfonts, served from Google Fonts.

Requesting a file from those hosts reveals the same basic connection information any web request does, and each operator has its own privacy policy governing what it retains. The desk receives nothing from either of them.

Outbound links

Pages link to platform documentation, public explorers and one commercial tool. Following any of those links takes you to a site with its own policies and its own data practices, over which this desk has no influence and about which it makes no representation.

Email

If you write to the address on the contact page, the desk holds your message and address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of a correction. Messages are not added to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Children

This site is reference material about market and discovery mechanics written for adults. It is not directed at children and collects no information from anybody, including them.

Changes

If the site later adds anything that changes the picture above, this page changes first and describes what was added. There is nothing on the site today that would let a change be made quietly.

Questions

Anything about this page can go to the address on the contact page, including a request to delete an email exchange the desk still holds.
